OUR CHURCH HISTORY

 Written on the hearts of a few transplanted southeners was to establish a church in Pacifica 60 years ago. A band of folks from a church in Daly City came down to begin a Bible Study in a home in Manor that moved to the UFW hall in Sharp Park and eventually bought an old truck yard on the corner of Francisco Blvd. and Santa Rosa. With contractors and volunteers and in two stages the building as now stands was completed about 45 years ago.  At that time church growth came from southeners moving out west and young kids in the neighborhood. Through twelve pastors and great times Pacifica Baptist Church grew to a membership of about 250, a real loving church family.

Today Pacifica Baptist Church still sits in the same building with her thirteenth pastor and a church that reflects the flavor of Pacifica. Internationals, multy-racial, marrieds, families, singles, kids, teens, homeless and just about every other category you cam imagine. Pastor Steve is our current pastor and has been for 26 years. He's raised his family Joshua Cosgrove and Caleb Cosgrove here in Pacifica now with a beautiful daughter-in-law Eva who is the mother of Pastor Steve's two beautiful grand kids Elizabeth and Josiah. His wife Sallye has tirelessly and lovingly worked with him now for 37 years of marriage.
